KEYBOARDING I TEST-OUT
As a current or future student at BSHS you will be given the opportunity to Test-Out of Keyboarding I. In order to test-out you will need to complete the following:
- Print out and read the attached Application/Contract . It is important that you and your parents understand how the test-out procedure will work. Once you have read the Application/Contract, both you and your parents will need to sign the form and return it to your Transition teacher or Student Services at BSHS.
- Print out and review the Keyboarding I Review Sheet . It is important that the Review Sheet be taken seriously. The information on the review sheet will be on the Test-Out exam. Make sure you study and practice the skills on the Review Sheet prior to taking the exam.
Each student testing will be allowed three class periods to complete the exam.

- This is optional, NOT required

An application is required in order to test out (available beginning March 9).

Applications will be due Thursday, March 12th. The application form is due to their Transition teachers and I will pick them up from CMS on Thursday, March 12th.

Students can test out of either Computer Applications or Keyboarding I. If they would like to test out of both, they will have to do the other exam during summer school.

Once a student attempts to test out, if they do not complete the exam or fail the exam, they will not have another opportunity to test out of that particular subject any other time during his/her high school career.

Students will receive a P for Pass and .50 credits on their high school transcript.
