mathletics
Mathletics is a math competition for the top twelve 4th and 5th graders.  Students work in teams of three to solve challenging problems and use critical thinking skills.  This is the first year it was held at EDW instead of being an elementary district event.  This event was planned and facilitated by Mrs. Ammerman and Miss Lavely.

 Eagle Choir at Legends
The Edwardsville Elementary Eagle Choir recently performed at the Legends in front of the theatres and at the nursing home, much to the enjoyment of the residents.  Good job, Eagles!
Symphony
Students in Rachel Williams' 3rd-5th grade music classes at Bonner Springs Elementary took a special field trip this week to the Kansas City Symphony.  They had the opportunity to play, not only with the symphony, but also with the Rumble Drummers from the KC Chiefs!  What a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our students!

McDaniel

A big 'congratulations' to Lexi Sechrist, sophomore at Bonner Springs High School.  Lexi is one of only 20 students state-wide to be accepted into the 'Nightingale Experience' at Fort Hays State University this summer.  The 'Nightingale Experience' allows students to shadow a nurse on different nursing units and to participate in various learning activities.  What an awesome experience for Miss Sechrist!
